Agree and here is some other good news along the same lines taken from another forum - it was posted a couple of months ago:

Hi Everyone who remembers me. thought I'd drop a message seeming it's been so long. Now 2 1/2 years since my transplant!!!! Can't believe it's been so long. Life has changed completely. Bobby is now 7 and growing to quickly. Me and Guy are both really well. Our life is forever changing, one of the biggest changes is we're gonna be foster parents, feels like a dream seeming 3 years ago I was dying from pph. We are so looking forward to fostering little babies to start with! Anyways thought I'd give and update on my ever changing life and hopefully give some more inspiration to those facing transplant.

It just makes it seem all the more cruel that it did not work out for Rachy.

Life can be cruel as it was for Rachy, but it can be good as it is to that person Sue.

True - I remember the anguish that person went through when trying to decide whether or not to go for a transplant; although it was really a no-brainer, it was still hard for her to get her head round, especially as she is so young.

Helen (Hells Bells) said for her it was a no brainer that she would have a transplant if possible and coped with being called four times before finally getting a transplant this summer. It takes a great deal of courage to walk the transplant or not paths and all that is possible is supporting people with their choices.

The GIF(T) of life: Amazing footage reveals how a human lung is kept alive and BREATHING for a transplant

The Organ Care System (OCS) was created by U.S firm TransMedics
It's designed to keep organs in a state where they function outside a body
Machines can make hearts beat and lungs breathe using donor blood
They can also replenish any depleted nutrients missing from the organ
Surgeons in Phoenix recently used it to maintain a lung for transplant

Using smoker's lungs in more transplants 'will save lives despite increased cancer risk for patients'
Leading charity says people should be more open to different lungs
Cystic Fibrosis Trust 'reconditioned lungs' should be an option
Dozens of patients die each year waiting for the 'perfect lungs'
The trust says that the option would help people live longer
