Finding cures or treatments for rare inherited diseases is all well and good if they follow through by making those cures / treatments available regardless of cost. So far the only ones that get through seem to be the more expensive cancer drugs, and then only after much publicised campaigns. Also with the looming 49% private NHS, do you think it likely that new expensive drugs might benefit shareholders rather than patients, with them only being available on private prescription or to foriegn health services? Just speculating of course ...
