Just an update on health and family I’ve been in a hospice the last two weeks, as I’ve been really ill, while in there the first week the motor neurone disease stepped up another two notches,. In my left arm and my neck. They wanted me to stay in there a while longer, but I was missing the wife (yes u heard it here a married man missing his mrs) and she was finding it a treck after work too . The hospice had offered me a weekend break rather than me signing out, and I was wishing I had taken that instead of me coming home. I’ve told her that I may need to go back into such a place in the near future as the disease steadily worsens. And told her she does not need to visit me, she says she will twice a week. Although if I live that long I’ll end up unable to move or talk Currently my motion is very feeble and truly weak, my left and right arm cannot lift very high, and I am living on soup custard porridge and the odd smoothie I’ve motor neurone disease, coped a small cancer growth in the left rear of, my back and a hernia on the right side with numerous trips to the toilet for a wee They have me in the RVI or Freeman hospital on the 22nd while they spend time preparing my air pipes to try and prevent any problems and they put the peg feed in on the 26th 27th if anyone wants to pray please do fervently, as last time I had a camera down my throat it left me with a heck of a sore throat 8 days solid The wife is really going through the mill too, her mom died 6 months back, her older sister is dying from cancer, her younger sister has heart problems, and then me on top, with her alcoholic brother hounding her for cash like a wolf attempting to play on her low state of mind God Bless one and all

Christopher, always pleased to hear from you, you are a tower of strengh no matter how feeble your body is. To keep your sense of humour throughout is a testament of your strengh in times of adversity. Always thinking of you and I do hope they can get you some stability sorted wishing you all the best

Thinking of you and praying as well CR. Dreadful, dreadful disease without all the other stuff you are coping with, not fair at all. Thank you for all your lovely poems - not quite as catchy as Pam Ayres but just as thought provoking none the less. My love to you and your lady wife
